About the programmes

REDI, the Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative, runs two structured programmes for Roma founders: an incubator for people starting their first business, and an accelerator for businesses past their first year that are ready to grow. Both combine training, one-to-one mentoring and a path to finance through REDI Fund.

The role

You own both programmes end to end: how founders get in, what they learn, who mentors them, and what shape they’re in when they come out. The test of your work is simple: do incubator graduates build real businesses, and do accelerator graduates grow and qualify for finance?

What you’ll do

  • Run both programmes across countries: cohort selection, curriculum, mentoring, demo days and graduation
  • Keep the curriculum honest: teach what first-generation founders need (pricing, registration, tax, talking to banks and wholesalers), not what business schools teach
  • Build and manage the mentor pool: Roma entrepreneurs from earlier cohorts and business owners from each region
  • Manage the programme teams in each country [verify scope]
  • Build the bridge to REDI Fund so the best graduates leave with a fundable business and a warm handover
  • Track outcomes (businesses registered, revenue, jobs, finance raised), report on them, and feed results into fundraising

What we’re looking for

  • You’ve run an accelerator, incubator or comparable founder-support programme and can show what its graduates went on to do
  • You’ve designed training for people running real businesses, including founders with no family history of business ownership
  • You’ve built mentor networks and kept volunteers engaged over years, not weeks
  • You can manage teams across countries and hold a standard without standing next to people
  • Languages: English; a language of the region is a strong advantage
  • Experience with Roma communities, or with founders shut out of the usual startup networks, is a strong advantage
